The Carlsbad, Laguna, Temecula Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi® [CLT (CA)] was chartered November 29, 2009, to serve the South Orange, South Riverside and North San Diego Counties.

CLT (CA)’s vision is to exemplify preeminence in leadership, influence, and service in our Tri-County communities! Our mission is achievement in every field of human endeavor!

We accomplish this by volunteering and giving to various community-based organizations and causes. Additionally, we serve our communities through our programs.

CLT (CA) is a member of the Great Western Province of Kappa Alpha Psi® Fraternity Inc. It is one of 12 geographical regions in Kappa Alpha Psi and covers a vast area from the continental United States, through Alaska, Hawaii, and onward to east Asia, including Japan, and Korea.

Founded January 5,1911

Kappa Alpha Psi® Fraternity Inc. was founded January 5,1911 on the campus of Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, by ten African American men to create social and networking opportunities on a predominately White campus where African Americans could not join other fraternities, organizations, participate in contact sports, run for student government or participate in other aspects of student life.
